Angela Waanders, MD, MPH

Angela Waanders is a Pediatric Neuro-oncologist in the Center for Childhood Cancer Research in the Division of Oncology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to serving as the Director of Clinical Research of the Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine, she also serves as the Director of Operations of the Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium. Her research focus is on developing more effective treatments for children with brain tumors.

Dr. Waanders received her Master’s in Public Health and Medical Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. She completed her general pediatric and hematology/oncology fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has been an attending physician in the Pediatric NeuroOncology Program since 2009.
