Bhakti Chavda is a Clinical Research Coordinator responsible for patient consenting and enrollment in the Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN), IRB submissions, clinical data analysis, study subject management, and quality assurance during clinical trials for studies that identify biomarkers and develop therapies for children with pediatric brain tumors.
Prior to joining the D3b Center in April of 2020, Bhakti previously worked for the Vaccine Education Center at CHOP on a project aimed at understanding factors influencing vaccination uptake and acceptance in adolescents. She also worked for the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School where she composed health policy briefs and analyzed clinical outcomes in OECD countries including the US.
Bhakti earned a BS in Biotechnology from the University of Mumbai before completing an MS in Biotechnology Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She is committed to helping vulnerable groups have access to healthcare resources and to facilitate research enabling a better quality of life for these people. As a CRC at the D3B center, her work directly impacts the lives of pediatric cancer patients and knowing every day that what she does contributes to their betterment motivates Bhakti to give her all on behalf of these children.
