Emily Drake is a Clinical Research Assistant responsible for supporting Clinical Research Coordinators in their daily responsibilities. This includes consenting patients, performing data entry, processing subject information, redacting medical reports and quality assurance. Emily also assists with shipments from each of the external CBTN sites. 

Prior to joining the D3b Center in January of 2022, Emily worked in the lab of Dr. Jeremy Alden Teissere at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, where they studied the effects of Passionflower on anxiety using Xenopus as a model organism. They were responsible for designing and executing projects, training new students, and presenting data at conferences. They also worked at Wegman’s Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician for more than six years.

Emily completed a BS in Neuroscience from Muhlenberg College. They are committed to making a difference in the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families and the opportunity to gain clinical research experience at D3b. Emily plans to use the experience they gain at D3b to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience.
