Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine
Krutika Gaonkar is a Bioinformatics Scientist responsible for supporting research through collaboration with investigators both at CHOP and its partners. She also analyzes and displays genomic data for publication and grant purposes. Her research focuses on genomic abnormalities in pediatric brain tumors.
Prior to joining CHOP in December of 2017, Krutika worked with the Epigenetic Scientific Group at Mayo Clinic to analyze service line patients with B-cell and T-cell Lymphoma. In her role, she gained experience in epigenetic regulation and integration analysis for epigenetic with NGS data. She also supported the service line with trio DNA data analysis for Mayo Clinic patients and their families with rare diseases.
Krutika earned an MS in Bioinformatics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is committed to improving cohort-level analysis to help support clinical practice and learning more about all types of pediatric brain tumors.
