Biospecimen Research Coordinator

Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine

Lauren Seip is a Biospecimen Research Coordinator responsible for coordinating and managing biospecimens received from external sites for the Cole-Reagins Registry for Sinonasal Cancer (CORSICA) and the Children’s Brain Tumor Network (CBTN). For both studies, she works with external sites to send us shipments of new research samples, accession them into our laboratory information management system, Nautilus, and maintain all of the specimen related paperwork in an orderly manner.

Prior to joining D3b in December of 2021, Lauren previously worked with biohazardous organic material with the chicken sentinel program at DNREC’s Mosquito Control section. She also worked as a biological aide at Adventure Aquarium where she took detailed husbandry records and stored them in an internal database.

Lauren completed a B.A. in Biology from Covenant College. She is committed to helping people, it is what drives her and working at D3b provides many opportunities to help aid research on cancer and other maladies that will in turn help so many more people in the future.
