Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine

Sherjeel Arif is a Data Scientist at the Center for Biomedical Image Computing and Analytics (CBICA) and affiliated with the D³b Center. He is responsible for brain tumor research that leverages imaging and multimodal data. Sherjeel is responsible for testing, validating and extending advanced image processing algorithms on magnetic resonance brain imaging data. In addition, he performs statistical analyses and data visualization.

Sherjeel earned a BSE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining D³b in February 2021, Sherjeel worked on machine learning research at CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania. Through his research experience, Sherjeel developed a passion for machine learning and hopes to make a meaningful impact in pediatric brain tumor research that will ultimately translate to improving prognoses for pediatric cancer patients.
