Lamiya Tauhid is a Research Tech responsible for creating and characterizing cell lines derived from fresh brain tumor tissue. Her research efforts to generate cell lines assist in the creation of clinically-representative models from tumor tissue to drive the development of more-effective therapies for pediatric cancer.
Before joining CHOP in August of 2017, Lamiya worked as a Genetics Research Tech at the Louisiana Health Sciences Center.
Lamiya completed both a BS and MS degree program in Neuroscience at Tulane University. She is committed to working alongside talented scientists who are dedicated to changing the future of pediatric cancer therapies.
