Imaging Data Scientist & Technical Project Manager

Karthik Viswanathan is a Data Scientist responsible for implementing scalable data platforms for scientific research. He collaborates with researchers and engineers to design applications and develop tools to automate data flow and process large-scale, multi-modal data. Karthik is also the Technical Project Manager for the imaging team and coordinates projects related to software development and imaging data management at CHOP as well as for multi-site consortia.
Prior to joining CHOP in March of 2022, Karthik worked as a Data Warehouse Specialist at Texas A&M University -Corpus Christi. There he integrated data from different sources and created BI dashboards and reports.
Karthik earned a BE in Electrical Engineering from Anna University before earning a MS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He is passionate about working with data and is committed to the D3b Center’s mission of accelerating research to make a meaningful impact.
