Director of Development
Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine
Joshua Walker is the Director of Development at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, responsible for raising funds for the Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine (D3b) by partnering with donors and grateful patient families in their efforts to support lifesaving breakthroughs in pediatric brain cancer research. In addition to D3b, Joshua supports the areas of Neurosurgery, Neuro-Oncology, Palliative Care and the Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium (CBTTC).
Prior to joining CHOP, Joshua began his career in nonprofit work with Special Olympics. His experience taught him the power that philanthropy can have to help families and children in need, and it became a stepping stone for his entry into pediatric medicine. Joshua entered the world of children’s healthcare at University of Virginia Children’s Hospital, before coming to CHOP in 2016.
Joshua earned a B.A. in Journalism from Pennsylvania State University. He is committed to changing the future of pediatric brain cancer research by aligning the personal passions of our donors with philanthropic opportunities that will help save children’s lives. Each day, he is privileged to witness inspiring acts of generosity, courage and dedication. It is an honor to partner with our donors as we seek to create a healthier world for future generations.
