Erin Alexander is a Program Coordinator responsible for maintaining the Neurosurgery Database which captures significant details about every patient seen in the Neurosurgery Clinic. Along with that, she assists multiple investigator-initiated clinical research protocols. She works with the Clinical Research Project Manager and PI’s on data collection and extraction. Additionally, she communicates with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) to create eIRB applications, manage continuing reviews, amendments, and deviations.
In addition, Erin is the Resource Coordinator for the Kids First Program at CHOP. She assists the Project Manager with various tasks such as coordinating meetings for multiple institutions, creating and sending out agendas, taking minutes, and maintaining and updating the Wiki database for the Kids First Program.
Prior to starting at CHOP in March of 2016, Erin worked as a Research Assistant in the Behavioral Medicine Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She consented patients and provided support for a multimedia website designed to help survivors of prostate cancer.
Erin earned a BS in BioBehavioral Health from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. She is committed to the center’s mission of collaboration and truly hopes this will accelerate discovery of cures for childhood cancer and structural birth defects.
