Clinical Research Assistant

Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine

Jessica Harrison is a Clinical Research Assistant responsible for obtaining informed consent for the CBTN and Liquid Biopsy studies, performing data entry, processing subject information, redacting pathology, operative, and MRI reports, and quality assurance.

Prior to joining the D3b Center in July of 2022, Jessica was involved in research for more than four years, working on in-depth studies in clinical interventions on attachment styles between parents and their children, exploring linguistic development in children, and exploring the use of Magnetic Resonance Elastography in mapping the viscoelastic properties of the brain within a biomedical engineering lab.

Jessica completed a BS in Neuroscience and a BA in Psychology from the University of Delaware. She is extremely passionate about research, especially with children. Jessica has experience in fields ranging from clinical psychology all the way to biomedical engineering and has loved every second of it. She has been heavily involved in studies using Magnetic Resonance Imaging, which helped her develop a love of neurology and neuro-oncology. Working at D3b has made her even more eager in her pursuit of medical school to continue to provide care and resources for children struggling against pediatric cancers and rare diseases.
