Research Technician

Madison Hollawell is a Research Technician responsible for developing and maintaining cell lines and animal models derived primarily from brain tumor tissue. She is involved in research projects pertaining to molecular cell line characterization, pre-clinical tools, and drug development to improve the understanding of childhood brain tumors.
Prior to joining CHOP in September of 2019, Madison volunteered at St. Mary Medical Center over two years to assist patients with daily activities, as well as assisting in surgical and bedside procedures.
Madison earned a BS in General Biology from The Pennsylvania State University. She is inspired by CHOP as an institution, by providing physical and emotional healing and support to patients and their families. She is committed to utilizing her skills to contribute to the overarching purpose of oncological research: to improve the outcomes for children with brain tumors.
