Sean McHugh is a Clinical Research Assistant responsible for obtaining patient consent, aiding CRCs with daily responsibilities, performing data entry/management, quality assurance and redaction of pathology/MRI/pre-op/post op reports.
Prior to joining the D3b Center in July of 2022, Sean worked as a research assistant at Dr. Kristy Allen’s Families, Anxiety, Cognition, and Treatment Lab at the University of Tennessee- Knoxville. Sean additionally volunteered at the New Jersey Special Olympics over multiple years, as well as continually volunteering for the Jake’s Dragon Foundation to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
Sean completed a BS in neuroscience from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville. He is committed to contributing to an atmosphere of research and collaboration for the overall goal of improving quality of life of children with cancer. Sean’s previous experiences with losing family and friends to several types of cancer drives his will to learn and contribute to the medical field.
