Alexander Sickler is a Bioinformatics Computing Infrastructure Manager responsible for supporting the Gabriella Miller Kids First Data Center by developing and maintaining analysis workflows for use on Cavatica. Alex’s main driver is to create a more open scientific community through sharing data, knowledge, and tools to accelerate discoveries and ease the burden of cancer and other diseases.
Prior to joining D3b in April of 2020, he worked as a software engineer at GeneDx writing analysis software supporting diagnostic sequencing for rare genetic diseases then as a contractor at the National Cancer Institute where he primarily worked on the NCI-MATCH clinical trial.
Alex earned a BS in Biology from Juniata College.
