Valeria Lopez-Gil is a Clinical Research Assistant responsible for working alongside Clinical Research Coordinators to support patient consenting. She also manages clinical data extraction and data entry. Valeria also performs data quality control to ensure compliance with HIPPA and hospital regulations.
Prior to joining D3b in June of 2021, Valeria volunteered as a research assistant at Dr. Richard Heimberg’s Adult Anxiety Clinic at Temple University, volunteered at Cancer Treatment Centers of America located in Philadelphia, worked in a private family practice as a receptionist, and worked at Jeanes Hospital in the Nutrition Department.
Valeria completed a BA in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Neuroscience from Temple University. She is committed to helping many children and their families and contributing to the evolution of medicine for future generations. Through her experience working with cancer patients and understanding more about the anatomy of the brain itself, Valeria feels that working with kids diagnosed with brain tumors will further allow her to expand her knowledge and interest in the field.
