Clinical Research Assistant

Center for Data Driven Discovery in Biomedicine

As a research assistant, I will be working alongside clinical research coordinators in order to help assist with their daily needs such as consenting patients. I will also be doing some clinical data extraction as well as data entry. In addition, I will also be involved in data quality control all while complying with HIPPA and hospital regulations.

I previously volunteered as a research assistant at Dr. Richard Heimberg’s Adult Anxiety Clinic at Temple University, volunteered at the cancer treatment centers of America in Philadelphia, worked in a private family practice as a receptionist, and worked at Jeanes Hospital in the Nutrition Department.

As an individual aspiring to pave a way for children in the medical field, D3b and CHOP has been in my interest for a while. With this career and job position, I hope to be able to help many children and their families as well as contribute to the evolution of medicine for future generations. In addition, with sufficient experience with cancer patients and the anatomy of the brain itself, working with kids diagnosed with brain tumors will further allow me to expand my knowledge and interest in the field.
