Bioinformatics Engineer

Chuwei Zhong is a Bioinformatics Engineer responsible for developing functioning pipelines upstream of customized analysis workflows and supporting computational environments focused on the management, transfer, formatting, and general processing of complex data types associated with genomics and proteomics. He also provides efficient data management support including file transfers, data formatting and manipulation, and integration of data from a variety of experimental and reference resources and executes development testing for commonly used applications such as data processing pipelines.
Prior to joining D3b in August 2022, he worked at the Wistar Institute for bioinformatics research for some time.
Chuwei earned a PhD in computational chemistry at Temple University. He is committed to apply his skills and passion of bioinformatics into the development of D3B center and make the world a better place.
